You will love the Lord your God with all your heart and your entire mind and all yourstrength (worship). You will love your neighbor with the love of God (service and fellowship). There are some things we need to pursue so as to keep our spiritual lives healthy in church and as individuals. Strip yourself of every defilement, get rid of hypocrisy and set goals that will keep you out of every thing that defiles. There are five identifiable practices that are sure to keep your spiritual life in good health as a church and as individuals and these are: worship; fellowship; discipleship; ministry and evangelism. Worship:This is measuring worth to God, giving Him his due worth in your life and with all your heart. It starts by acknowledging His place in your life. He owns you and He has a right to your life and all you claim to be...

Genesis 26 is a case study on all the factors involved in enjoying abundance during recession. The basis of God’s blessings is the blessing of the covenant of Abraham. Deuteronomy 8:18 says God gives us the power to get wealth to establish His covenant. Obedience and service to God are conditions for living days in pleasures and spending years in prosperity (Job 36:11). Isaac obeyed God and sowed in the land of famine. The blessing of God makes rich and adds no sorrow (Proverbs 10:22). The blessing thrives in the midst of trouble. Isaac’s obedience was the key to activating the existing covenant God had with His father, Abraham. He also sowed in the land and reaped a hundred fold in the same year. Isaac began to prosper and continued until he was very prosperous. Isaac put God first, respected God’s Word and built his life around God’s covenant Word...

[Continuation of 'Winning the Battle of the Mind'] 1 Corinthians 2:16 (KJV). For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. Ezekiel 36:26-27. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. 1. Think positive thoughts and stop negative ones in order to overcome depression. 2. Be God-minded. Isaiah 26:3 (KJV). Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.   Meditate on God and His works; fellowship with the Lord. Psalms 63:5-6 (KJV). My soul shall be satisfied as with...

[Continuation from 'Winning the Battle of the Mind'] We are engaged in a war; the enemy is Satan; the mind is the battle field; and the devil works diligently to set up strongholds in our minds. He does it through strategy and deceit, (well laid out plans and deliberate deceptions). He is in no hurry; he takes his time to work out his plans. We are to cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself above the knowledge of the truth. God's word is truth. John 8:31-32 (KJV). Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Freedom comes through knowing and acting on the truth. Jesus Himself calls Himself The Truth. John 14:6-7 (KJV). Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the...

The quality of our lifestyle plays a major role in the way and manner in which we can minister the power of God. There is a connection between our lifestyle choice and the steady flow of God's power in our lives. When we read about how many men and women of old walked in the power of God, we seldom see the quality of their obedience and the other prices they paid to experience the power flowing in their lives. Yes, they do have a calling and yes, God was willing to use them to fulfil His purposes, but they paid the price none the less. Our present lifestyle makes it almost impossible to pay any meaningful price. We are so absorbed in many legitimate things that it seems ridiculous to think of adding any price to what we are already paying, just to make ends meet or keep up with...

A fulfilled life does not happen by accident! A fulfilled life is one who has released all that God put into that life to benefit the human race! The potentials within have been discovered, developed and deployed to bring maximum value added to humanity. Purpose accomplished! Assignment fulfilled! God's gift to us is the life given to us; our gift to Him is what we do with that life! A fulfilled life is lived intentionally! There are laws that govern every aspect of our being. We can observe the principles and laws through circumstances that are repeated throughout history. The laws require a force for them to be operational! The law of gravity needs the force of gravity. Where there is zero gravity the law does not operate. Some spiritual laws also require the force of faith. Mental or soulish laws require the force of habit or repetition. Natural laws require natural forces!...

The last days, which we are in, are characterised by the news of the operations of satan on a large scale. The level of contradictions happening in many lives, gives one some concern. Nations, regions and individuals are not spared. These same days are designed by God for His people to experience victory at a level unprecedented in history. We need to know how to turn trials into victories and how to turn pressures into paths of pressing into greater heights in God. Let us start by establishing what and where the pressures are coming from. Luke 8:11-15 "Now the meaning of the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God. Those along the travelled road are the people who have heard; then the devil comes and carries away the message out of their hearts, that they may not believe (acknowledge Me as their Saviour and devote themselves to Me) and be saved [here and...
