Leadership

When God’s purposes are fulfilled in our lives and we end up becoming all He had in mind for us to become, we are said to have fulfilled the destiny He had for us. This involves our development in various aspects of our lives, including our character , (in becoming more like Christ), our knowledge of who God is and His plans and purposes for our lives, our knowledge of who we have become in Christ and what potential has been invested in us. Destiny has to do with, 1. Maximising the potential God invested in you. 2. It is living a life that fulfils the purposes for which you were put on earth. It demands discovery, development and deployment of potential. It involves process wherein you are being built up to fulfil the end result God had for you. God created us with loads of potential. Laziness, ignorance and carelessness can...

When God told the children of Israel to take the land, their response was that they were like grasshoppers. It is possible for God to say something, mean something, plan something and it is very possible for us, because of the state of our mind to stop that thing from coming to pass in our lives. Because of this, we need to study the role of the mind in our walk with God. By the time we turn twelve, most of our minds are already formed. For example, when we take a glass of water, the water will take the shape of the glass, because that glass is already formed, so anything that we pour into it will be defined by the form, the form that is already our mind. The children of Israel had the Hittites and the Jebusites to overcome in the Promised Land. The Hittites and the Jebusites...

SETTING AND ACHIEVING GODLY GOALS To set a goal is to the take the initiative, that given the perceived available resources, and the given circumstances, one desires a particular  outcome and one goes for it. Goal setting is the art of purposing in ones heart what exactly one wants to achieve or accomplish. It has many benefits as it helps us steward our time and possibly our potential. All through the bible we see goals set and achieved, even though the word "Goals" was not written in the bible. No great achievement was done without it being set as a goal, even if it is not described as or called a goal. Goal setting can become a tool to help time management as well as inspire productivity and help accomplish great eat things in life. It can be used by an individual or any organisation and the results have been phenomenal...

Destiny has to do with: maximising the potential God invested in you; and living a life that fulfils the purposes for which you were put on earth. It demands discovery, development and deployment of potential. It involves process wherein you are being built up to fulfil the end result God had for you. God created us with loads of potential. Laziness, ignorance and carelessness can be avenues through which potential can be lost and destiny forfeited. God’s Word reveals the potential He put in us at creation.   Genesis 1:26-28 (NKJV) Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He...

Restoration of Apostolic Christianity   We all hear of Protestant churches or Evangelical churches, then we hear of Pentecostal churches and the list goes on. What is not usually known is that these churches represent the restorative program of God that started many years ago after the so called “dark ages”.  God has been in the business of restoring truth that has been lost from the early days of the church that Jesus built.   Matthew 16:16-19 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of...

Understanding and Enjoying Our Covenant Privileges and Responsibilities with God   The word covenant is usually used to describe a binding agreement that people enter into with each party understanding their roles and committing to playing their parts so that the blessing of the covenant can be enjoyed by all concerned. Covenants are entered into with purposes in mind. They are well thought out as the consequences can be very serious in cases where agreements are broken. There is an old story of two villages who came into covenant relationship with one another for the purpose of benefiting one another with what each village is known to produce. Let us call them village A and village B. Village A is a farming village and village B is known to be a hunting village. Through their leaders they decided to come into a covenant relationship wherein the hunting village would hunt for both villages...

Determination, Discovery, Discipline will lead to fulfilling Destiny Determine to press into the future God has for you. Your determination starts with decisions. Decide to lay hold of all God has for you. Some decisions include: letting God’s Word be final authority in your life; deciding to be a student of life and a student for life; letting the Holy Spirit teach you things you don’t know or don’t have the right orientation about. Decide to watch your tongue and be a doer of God’s Word. Some things are not properly learnt because the inner motives may not be correct. So many times people want to obey an instruction from God but don’t check if their motives are in harmony with a God’s way of doing things. When motives are wrong, God’s purposes go unfulfilled even though the people believe or think they are obeying God.   James 1:21-25 (NKJV) Doers-Not Hearers Only Therefore lay...

Strategies for a Victorious Year Get rid of offences Pursue your passion with hunger Pursue your purpose: know your why As you give yourself to serving others you will soon discover what you are most passionate about. Within your passion lies your purpose in God. It will take receiving Christ as your Lord and Saviour, knowing who you are in Christ and then serving God by serving His people, to position you to discover your passion and eventually your purpose. The Holy Spirit has been sent to help you to become all you were designed to become, as well as develop the confidence in God’s presence and power in your life, so you can have victory in every area of your life. The anointing is the rubbing off of God’s power into your life. You need to learn to walk in the anointing as well as carry it to bless others,...

Our response to God in the seasons of our lives always opens up new seasons to us. When Phillip left the revival meetings in Samaria to go to the road leading to the desert, he went from being a city mover to potentially being a nation changer. History has it that the eunuch he led to the Lord was responsible for affecting Ethiopia with the Gospel. Phillip’s obedience opened up new vistas for kingdom growth. When Apostle James said we should count it all joy when we fall into diverse trials, we are learning how to turn seasons of trial into joyful ones; hence one season is brought to a quick end as the next season gets activated. When Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises in the prison, God sent an earthquake to bring deliverance for them. Acting on the Word of God is known to bring victorious seasons into...

To effectively deal with the influences generated on these mountains, we need to know what exactly is going on and then allow God to give insights as to how to mount up these mountains and take out the demonic influences on them. The strategy must include prayer and action. In this study we will deal with prayers. Every born again, Spirit filled, believer needs to know how to pray and how to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit in prayer. He is our helper, especially in prayer. The perversion and pollution or corruption flowing down these mountains is the work of principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places. They take full advantage of the fallen nature in mankind to enslave and deceive humanity so much so that human beings become self-destructive. What God intended for good is mis-interpreted so that it will be used for destruction? Apostle Paul says “We wrestle not against...
