Money, fame, popularity and gadgets are the things that go with success today. Many have come by these through hard work, diligence and providing relevant services or products for others. They have come by success the hard way but they did it with right hearts. No doubt, many have gone about it the crooked way and have been termed successful too. It is possession of these things that define success in our world today. No wonder many go at it anyhow as long as they can have it. This is the foundation of corruption. The man in his “fallen state” sees success as the acquisition of these things and aims at getting them no matter the cost. Some have achieved these at the expense of their vital relationships, like family and marriage. Few have done things right, namely developing their gifts and engaging in services beneficial to humanity. They did not...

SETTING AND ACHIEVING GODLY GOALS To set a goal is to the take the initiative, that given the perceived available resources, and the given circumstances, one desires a particular  outcome and one goes for it. Goal setting is the art of purposing in ones heart what exactly one wants to achieve or accomplish. It has many benefits as it helps us steward our time and possibly our potential. All through the bible we see goals set and achieved, even though the word "Goals" was not written in the bible. No great achievement was done without it being set as a goal, even if it is not described as or called a goal. Goal setting can become a tool to help time management as well as inspire productivity and help accomplish great eat things in life. It can be used by an individual or any organisation and the results have been phenomenal...

Destiny has to do with: maximising the potential God invested in you; and living a life that fulfils the purposes for which you were put on earth. It demands discovery, development and deployment of potential. It involves process wherein you are being built up to fulfil the end result God had for you. God created us with loads of potential. Laziness, ignorance and carelessness can be avenues through which potential can be lost and destiny forfeited. God’s Word reveals the potential He put in us at creation.   Genesis 1:26-28 (NKJV) Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He...

Restoration of Apostolic Christianity   We all hear of Protestant churches or Evangelical churches, then we hear of Pentecostal churches and the list goes on. What is not usually known is that these churches represent the restorative program of God that started many years ago after the so called “dark ages”.  God has been in the business of restoring truth that has been lost from the early days of the church that Jesus built.   Matthew 16:16-19 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of...

Understanding and Enjoying Our Covenant Privileges and Responsibilities with God   The word covenant is usually used to describe a binding agreement that people enter into with each party understanding their roles and committing to playing their parts so that the blessing of the covenant can be enjoyed by all concerned. Covenants are entered into with purposes in mind. They are well thought out as the consequences can be very serious in cases where agreements are broken. There is an old story of two villages who came into covenant relationship with one another for the purpose of benefiting one another with what each village is known to produce. Let us call them village A and village B. Village A is a farming village and village B is known to be a hunting village. Through their leaders they decided to come into a covenant relationship wherein the hunting village would hunt for both villages...

LIVING THE LIFE OF AN OVERCOMER God planned for the human race to overcome the challenges presented to us through the fall of Adam and Eve, the first humans who yielded to the enemy the authority granted them to rule this earth. Through the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, His sacrifice on the cross, and then His resurrection, we have come to the place where the provision has been made for us to be overcomers in this life. The choices we make, (based on our knowledge of the provisions), will determine whether we experience the life of an overcomer or not. The choice is ours. Romans 8:37-39 (NKJV) “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other...

We live in an age where, for many, how to get our needs met matter more to us than bringing glory to God Almighty. Part of God’s program of restoring the fallen race of human beings was to bring mankind back into fellowship with Himself. Before the fall, what God had in mind for our relationship with Him was such that we are to be under His authority, while taking charge of the earth to see His will come to pass on earth as it is in heaven. This should be our experience on earth, according to God’s plans for the human race.Genesis’ account of the fall of mankind shows that God indeed delegated authority on earth to the human race (See Genesis chapters 1-3)....
