(Study extract from message) 

The first thing to note is that power has been released to you. The power to slay your giant has been released to you.    We learn this from Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:15-22  ”Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,  do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power  which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality[and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,  which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” 

What I want to pitch our attention to is to know the power that is at work towards us  who believe. What does it mean to say power is at work towards us who believe?   Jesus said, ”these signs shall follow them that believe in my name, they will cast out devils, when they lay hands on the sick, they will be healed.” The power that will make those things happen; he has already released to us. He has already released it.  

But when Paul was praying he said that God will open the eyes of your understanding, so you will know that this power has been released. And that’s why you hear us talk about the word revealed knowledge. 

A lot of believers do not know the power that has been released yet Paul is saying the same power that raised Christ from the dead has been released to those who believe in him. The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead will quicken our mortal bodies. 

That power raised Jesus not just from the grave, not just from the underneath the earth; that power raised him above principalities and powers, above everythi in the realm of the spirit and put Him at the right hand of the Father God. That power that transcends every existential realm is  the same power at work towards those who believe . 

What manner of human being should we be if we believe that? 

Some people believe that power is only available when you are holy enough. No, that power has been paid for. Jesus Christ’s  sacrifice on the cross, made it possible for that power to be released to whoever believes. 

So the first thing to know about the God of breakthroughs is that the power has been released;  the power to slay your giant has been released, so receive it in Jesus Name.
