New Believers

There seems to be a 3-fold pattern for most things and issues involved in the things of God in the Bible. For example we see God revealing Himself as the Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, each revealing a part of God’s nature and purpose in His processes for the human race. Each of His revealed identity captures something of His purpose and all three give a more accurate picture of God’s plans and purposes. The God of Abraham reveals the aspect of God as One who provides even in the most impossible situation. He is more than enough to do the impossible when we believe, have faith in His Word (like Abraham) and participate in His plans for our lives. The God of Isaac is the One who expects us to walk in submission and obedience. Isaac was revealed as one who was in subjection to his father and all...

DEDICATION to the Lord   Psalms 112:1-9 PRAISE THE Lord! (Hallelujah!) Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who fears (reveres and worships) the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments. His [spiritual] offspring shall be mighty upon earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Prosperity and welfare are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. Light arises in the darkness for the upright, gracious, compassionate, and just [who are in right standing with God]. It is well with the man who deals generously and lends, who conducts his affairs with justice. He will not be moved forever; the [uncompromisingly] righteous (the upright, in right standing with God) shall be in everlasting remembrance. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firmly fixed, trusting (leaning on and being confident) in the Lord. His heart is established and steady, he will not be afraid while he waits to see his desire established upon...

PROVISIONS Healing, Protection, providing all needs met, according to His riches in glory. Directions and guidance.   Philippians 4:19 And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.   Psalms 91 HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the...

The New Birth The scriptures are personalized and spoken as to build into ourselves the realities expressed in God's word.   2 Corinthians 5:17-21 Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come! But all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with Him]. It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor). So we are Christ’s ambassadors, God making His appeal...

THE ‘CLIMATE’ Everyone carries a climate. It is a function of your thoughts, expectations and belief systems. Your beliefs affect your thoughts. The words we speak also affect our climate. People and things respond to the climate you allow in your life. How people thought about Jesus, in Mark 6:1-6, affected the miracles that He was able to do amongst them. The climate of unbelief is not just a decision not to believe; it is generated by a number of thought patterns. What they thought of Him, as opposed to who they thought the “Christ” ought to be, created some conflicting opinion about His genuineness. This hindered Him from functioning in power like He could do. Climates are dictated by prevailing MINDSETS. In Acts 10, the climate (or prevailing mindset) was that only the Jews could be saved. Climates can hinder the out-working of God’s power until someone does what it...

THE POWER OF PRAYER Prayer can release angels, can activate the gifts of the Holy Spirit (as seen in Acts 10) and makes tremendous power available. Let the Holy Spirit help your prayer life as you pray in the Spirit as well as with your understanding. (See Romans 8:26, 1 Corinthians 14:14 and Jude 20). James 5:16-18 “Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours]; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six...

THE WOMAN WITH THE ISSUE OF BLOOD Mark 5:25-34 “And there was a woman who had had a flow of blood for twelve years, And who had endured much suffering under [the hands of] many physicians and had spent all that she had, and was no better but instead grew worse. She had heard the reports concerning Jesus, and she came up behind Him in the throng and touched His garment, For she kept saying, If I only touch His garments, I shall be restored to health. And immediately her flow of blood was dried up at the source, and [suddenly] she felt in her body that she was healed of her [distressing] ailment. And Jesus, recognizing in Himself that the power proceeding from Him had gone forth, turned around immediately in the crowd and said, who touched My clothes? And the disciples kept saying to Him, You see the crowd...

Many people pray today and get disappointed if they do not get results. Why don’t we see miracles as there used to be? Are there things we have overlooked that could be causing some reduction in the flow of God’s power? God is the same and has not changed, so we need to do some changing. It is time to get back into the flow of His power again as we learn to receive our healing! This study is aimed at helping us see, understand and take advantage of the healing that has been provided for us by the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. Get ready to receive your healing! Luke 13:10-16 “Now Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And there was a woman there who for eighteen years had had an infirmity caused by a spirit (a demon of sickness). She was bent completely forward...

Experiencing Victory as a New Creation (Part 2)   Three key aspects are important in our understanding and experiencing victory in our Christian faith. They are:   Our identity in Christ; this includes our position, our authority and the consciousness we build into our lives. Who are we? How we see ourselves and how far have we allowed circumstances to define us. Our Conduct; this includes our behaviour, our service and our attitude. Do we operate in obedience, in compliance with God's Word, and are we consistent and faithful? With no hidden agendas? Our Capacity, this includes what levels we come into as a result of our consistency in carrying out our services and our consciousness of who we are and what we have. Capacity goes with responsibility. When we take responsibility we can develop capacity. This determines the levels of results we get. Callings are a product of capacity and function in...
