Leadership

The future belongs to those who can see it! They make plans for the fulfilment of what they see; this positions them to experience it. That ability to see is what having a vision is about. Many possibilities await our discoveries, adjustments and preparations as we find ways of not allowing past blunders to affect future destines. Many past blunders are contained revelations of the insecurities of past leaders. The present leaders must understand themselves, understand their environment, have a healthy concept their peculiar challenges and navigate their ways into the future. They will need mentors and be sensitive in their navigational skills to avoid the traps that held men of old from making progress in the directions that are now open to us all. If our present insecurities are not dealt with, we shall repeat past blunders. Leadership and management walk hand in hand. Leadership deals with direction and vision while management...

“Let no one despise (look down on your youthfulness), but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine (teaching). Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.” 1 Tim. 4:12-16. The Apostle Paul was saying a lot to Timothy, his disciple, who had taken on leadership responsibilities in the above passage. Amongst other things he is saying to us that we should understand the potentials that lie within us and...

“The Lord gives voice before His army, for His camp is very great; For strong is the One who executes His word” (Joel 2:11). “For the weapons or our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments (imaginations) and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5, NKJV) The history of the Christian Church in contemporary times has been filled with stories of people who catch only a glimpse of who they are, or what they have become in Christ, or people who have no clue as to what exactly they have become, spiritually because of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross of Calvary. Those who catch a glimpse of who they have become tend to run off with their little 'vision" or picture and run roughshod over...

Wealth is playing a major role in many things on earth today. Success is usually defined in terms of wealth, influence, popularity and the power wealth confers on its owner. The major ruling influence on earth today is wealth. It is the hidden agenda behind wars, politics and many religions today. Many are simply slaves to wealth. All the pornography and atrocities committed around the world are driven by wealth. It is observed that some people find it difficult to serve God because of their pursuit of money. Somehow it seems that those who are willing to serve God are not too concerned about serving wealth and those who are locked into wealth seem to have not much time for God. This needs to change. We need a clear understanding of God’s purpose, perspective and plans for money or wealth in these last days. The love of money and the deceitfulness of...

Our human temperaments are characteristics and tendencies we are born with. They are by-products of the influence of the fallen nature inherited by us in the first Adam. They were originally wholesome but the fall affected them negatively, hence our temperaments need redemption too. Not only do we need redemption for our spirits, we need redemption for our souls and even issues in our lives need redemption. The redemption of our spirit is instantaneous but all other aspects of our humanity takes process to work out our redemption with time and our conscious participation. There are four basic temperaments our teachings often refer to - and while humans are not confined to any one temperament, we are usually identifiable by one or two of the four. We are not designed to be slaves of our temperaments rather we are to be conformed to the image of Christ as Paul, the Apostle teaches in Romans 8:29....

The champion/giant within us is our recreated human spirit, energised by the Holy Spirit of God bringing us into all that God has made available to us in Christ Jesus. We were made in the spirit image of God. Sin destroyed the picture and Christ has restored it. We now have two identities: our natural then our spiritual identities. In the battles of life, our spiritual identities play a more important role than the natural. This study is about cultivating the lifestyle that will give us victory on every aspect of our lives. Life is usually lived in more than one dimension. Let us lay the foundation for our new identity in Christ. 3 dimensions of Christ's death, burial and resurrection are: Divine Exchange; Divine Pattern; and the Revelation of the Divine love of God. These three relate to the personal aspect of our lives, the relational, and then our assignment in life. PERSONAL (Divine Exchange) We have...

[Continuation of 'Winning the Battle of the Mind'] 1 Corinthians 2:16 (KJV). For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. Ezekiel 36:26-27. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. 1. Think positive thoughts and stop negative ones in order to overcome depression. 2. Be God-minded. Isaiah 26:3 (KJV). Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.   Meditate on God and His works; fellowship with the Lord. Psalms 63:5-6 (KJV). My soul shall be satisfied as with...

[Continuation from 'Winning the Battle of the Mind'] We are engaged in a war; the enemy is Satan; the mind is the battle field; and the devil works diligently to set up strongholds in our minds. He does it through strategy and deceit, (well laid out plans and deliberate deceptions). He is in no hurry; he takes his time to work out his plans. We are to cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself above the knowledge of the truth. God's word is truth. John 8:31-32 (KJV). Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Freedom comes through knowing and acting on the truth. Jesus Himself calls Himself The Truth. John 14:6-7 (KJV). Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the...

Jesus planned for the church to be the training ground for the citizens of God's kingdom. He delegated authority, responsibility and His Vision to the church - His called out ones. He plans for the church to be built on Him as their foundation. He also expects that the revelation knowledge of Himself and the Father would be the basis of operations in the church He is building.   Mat 16:15-19 He said to them, But who do you [yourselves] say that I am? Simon Peter replied, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Then Jesus answered him, Blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) are you, Simon Bar-Jonah. For flesh and blood [men] have not revealed this to you, but My Father Who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros—a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra—a huge rock like Gibraltar]...

HOW TO RECEIVE SPIRITUAL IMPARTATION Spiritual Hunger. Jesus said those who hunger and thirst after righteousness are blessed, because they shall be satisfied. Gideon was hungry for the move of God and he was used mightily of God to bring deliverance to his people. We must know that God is more willing to see miracles happen than we are but He is waiting on us to position ourselves through deep spiritual hunger. Past moves of God happened as men positioned themselves through deep hunger, not just because God decided to move. Asking. Jesus said he that asks, receives. Matt.7:8. James 4:2 says, “You do not have, because you do not ask God”.  God gives the gift of the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. Solomon asked God for wisdom and he got it! What we ask for shows what our priorities in life are. Purposeful interaction & Discipleship. Acts 4:13 says “When they...
