God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalms 46:1). God is good and His mercy endures forever. He is worthy of our praise and honour. His thoughts towards us are thoughts of good and not evil to give us a future and an expected end. (1 Chronicles 16:34, Jeremiah 29:11). Our faith in Him and a life of expectancy and praise, yielding to God and allowing His Word to be final authority in our lives, will open us to the goodness of God like never before. My thoughts go to people who seem to fail to see God’s goodness in their lives and they seem to give Him a bad name because of their experiences. We all go through tough times but some come out better and others bitter. The foundation upon which our lives are built matter a lot to what and how we experience the...

The complete man is strong in the Lord, in his convictions and he is not moved by external circumstances. He knows Him, whom he has believed. He knows himself, who he is in Christ, that he is loved by God no matter the situation he faces. He knows he will come out victorious, and whatever the enemy plans, God's wisdom in him will turn things around for good. He knows he has a destiny to fulfil, lives to influence and the Lord to please. He is committed, determined and focused on certain things and will not be deterred by anything. He learns to quickly forget the things behind and presses unto the high calling of God in Christ.   The following verses of scripture are for meditation for the Complete Man! Ephesians 4:21-32 Assuming that you have really heard Him and been taught by Him, as [all] Truth is in Jesus [embodied and personified...

God’s purpose for our lives is defined by what God had in mind when He created us or formed us in our mother’s womb. The stories of bible characters help us see the interplay between God, the person and other external forces playing parts in the outcomes of their lives. God is not going to impose His plans or purposes on us and Satan will do anything to get us to do his bidding. We also have choices that play a major deciding factor in what we do, say and eventually the outcomes of our lives. When tragedy strikes there is usually a cause, when good things happen we can also see a cause or a purpose for them.  Our outcomes are not in the hands of chance, or Satan. We can cooperate with God to change future outcomes even if the past was simply not within our control or influence. For...

What happens to you is not as important as what happens in you. Too often we spend time and resources on what happens to us rather than what happens in us. It is right to expect good things to happen to us but it is what happens in us that will determine what happens to us on a long run. Now we need to be reaching out and our growth goals should reflect the increase we anticipate in every area of our life and ministry. If we are going to stand the test of time we are going to keep an eye on what is happening in us. What are your priorities? Is God your Number one? What is your motivation? Is it selfish or self-centred. What is your focus? What is the fuel you are burning to do what you are doing? Is merely emotional or spiritual? What about integrity of heart?...

God's dream for man is for the man He made in His image to be Complete (well grounded, all round successful, and mature to the fulfilment of His plans and purposes.)  Made in God's image, man was designed to discover, develop and deploy his potential, unravel his gifts and engage his abilities to help, bless and uplift others. Man was designed to be a blessing to others. Meaning and fulfilment are found in being of great service to others.   Hebrews 13:20-21 Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament), Strengthen (complete, perfect) and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out His will; [while He Himself] works in you and...

Our Lord Jesus recognised His purpose and matured into the fulfilment of His purposes in the Father God. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil. Isaiah 61:1-4 “THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound, To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favour] and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion—to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil...

“In Him was life and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend (overcome, understand or quench) it” (John 1:4-5). The battle Between Light and Darkness has been the battle of influence throughout the history of mankind. Part of God's purposes for our lives is that we should influence others. This word 'influence' signifies our purpose on earth. Some influence can matter for eternity; not just for now. God's influence through us has an eternal purpose at its end. Influence: this word has been around for a long time and its effect is seen throughout history. Both positive and negative influences can be seen to characterise the history of mankind. Good people have an effect on others for good and bad people have some influence that turns out bad. Everybody is being influenced by someone or something no matter who...

THE GOVERNMENTAL ASSEMBLY: “But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and the church of the first born who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect”(Hebrews 12:22-23). This represents the Assembly of God’s people who carry authority. The “ecclesia” is the equivalent of the senate of a government. The strength of God flows out of Zion (Ps. 110:1-3) and His Kingdom rules in the midst of His enemies. The Holy Spirit through prayers and the gifts of the Spirit, extends the sceptre of God’s authority over the nations. The essential feature is that the governmental authority of God is in His people and they are required to respect His order in their lives and conduct. The increase of His government (kingdom)...

Principles of Life Management: Everything we have was given to us (by God). James 1:17-25. Everything we are given has potential in them. They can increase, multiply and become greater than how we were given. How we handle these things given to us will determine how we are rewarded or judged. Our ability to manage (steward) these things is the key to our success in life. We shall give account to our Giver (God) for how we related, treated and utilized what we were given. Our respect for God (fear of God) will determine how we treat His gifts in our lives. His gifts are designed to bless many others, bring fulfilment in our lives, and bring satisfaction to His heart (glory to God). By humility and the fear of The Lord are riches and honour and life (Proverbs 22:4). Proverbs 22:4- "The reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful...

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” (Eph. 1:3) “And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.” (Deut. 28:2). All the provisions of God await their activation on earth for them to come into full manifestation in the lives of the people they were intended for. For many, there seems to be an endless cry for certain provisions. Some people make God look mean for what they are experiencing. Many have questioned the love of God when certain things happen to them or to people around them. The provisions of God are numerous and the needs for them are in abundance. The Bible says His mercies are from everlasting to everlasting, they are new every morning and they endure forever....
