Finishing Strong

Finishing Strong
Dear Beloved,
Our purposes in life include discovering our potentials, developing them and deploying them to benefit and add value to other human beings. We need to build healthy relationships, develop our own inner convictions and so build strength into our character. We need to learn the principles that govern different aspects of our lives and try to inculcate these into our everyday life. We need to build the right inner image, sow the right seeds and expect a bright future for ourselves and those around us.

Looking around we can see that not many are finishing their journey in life in the strength that only God can provide. Many finish either ‘so-so’ or finish poorly. Records show only 1 out of 10 finishes strong. Will you be that one? God is not altogether responsible for how we finish; we are. The decisions we make is a function of the knowledge we have, right or wrong. The knowledge we have is a function of our relationship with God and others and our hunger to learn and develop. God loves every one of us and has great plans for us all. How we handle His word, His plans and His methods of doing things will determine to a large extent how we finish. He is a constant help, dependable and sufficient to help. We are the ones who determine how much of help we experience by how much of deception we permit in our lifestyle. Sin deceives blinds and enslaves.

We can say ‘no’ to sin and cultivate a lifestyle that is not permissive by the grace of God and the help of the Holy Spirit. I pray we make the right choices and allow God to bless and empower us to be all He created us to be.
