The miraculous is usually preceded by instructions that are ridiculous when one reads through the bible. Some outstanding deeds of power, I mean the supernatural release of God’s power can be as a result of ridiculous instructions obeyed. The similarities that are seen in some of these demonstrations of power mean that there are lessons to learn from God’s Word if we shall go on and position ourselves to receive from God and experience His power. The first miracle Jesus did while on earth was the turning of water to wine at the wedding in Cana of Galilee as recorded in John chapter 2. The lessons are very important and they are these: He was invited along with His disciples; His mother, Mary turned to Him when they needed help; She gave instructions to the servants: whatever He says to you, do it; He instructs them to fill pots with water and...

The last days, which we are in, are characterised by the news of the operations of satan on a large scale. The level of contradictions happening in many lives, gives one some concern. Nations, regions and individuals are not spared. These same days are designed by God for His people to experience victory at a level unprecedented in history. We need to know how to turn trials into victories and how to turn pressures into paths of pressing into greater heights in God. Let us start by establishing what and where the pressures are coming from. Luke 8:11-15 "Now the meaning of the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God. Those along the travelled road are the people who have heard; then the devil comes and carries away the message out of their hearts, that they may not believe (acknowledge Me as their Saviour and devote themselves to Me) and be saved [here and...

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalms 46:1). God is good and His mercy endures forever. He is worthy of our praise and honour. His thoughts towards us are thoughts of good and not evil to give us a future and an expected end. (1 Chronicles 16:34, Jeremiah 29:11). Our faith in Him and a life of expectancy and praise, yielding to God and allowing His Word to be final authority in our lives, will open us to the goodness of God like never before. My thoughts go to people who seem to fail to see God’s goodness in their lives and they seem to give Him a bad name because of their experiences. We all go through tough times but some come out better and others bitter. The foundation upon which our lives are built matter a lot to what and how we experience the...

THE GOVERNMENTAL ASSEMBLY: “But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and the church of the first born who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect”(Hebrews 12:22-23). This represents the Assembly of God’s people who carry authority. The “ecclesia” is the equivalent of the senate of a government. The strength of God flows out of Zion (Ps. 110:1-3) and His Kingdom rules in the midst of His enemies. The Holy Spirit through prayers and the gifts of the Spirit, extends the sceptre of God’s authority over the nations. The essential feature is that the governmental authority of God is in His people and they are required to respect His order in their lives and conduct. The increase of His government (kingdom)...

These prayers by Apostle Paul contain the keys to a future of victory and fulfilment in any Christian's life. I personally recommend them to all who care to read this. Pray them daily for at least one month - then go 6 months. I use the Amplified translation to write out the prayers. Make it personal and you can use it to pray for others too! For eyes to be enlightened, to know the hope to which we are called and the inheritance we have in God and God has in us and the greatness of the power at work towards us who believe. Wow! Ephesians 1:17-23 [For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him, By having the eyes of your heart flooded with...

The journey of another 12 months has started. The year 2016 has rolled in and before long you will ask whatever happened to time. Time and tide, they say waits, for no man. We are all given 24 hours for each day and when it is gone, it can never be regained. So learn to use time wisely. In this write up, I am particular about the folks who want their life to count for now and eternity. Those who want to fulfil God’s purposes for their lives and have the fulfilment that they are on course for the destinies in God to be fulfilled. By that I mean whatever God has designed for their lives to contribute that is what they want too. We are looking at four different aspects of this journey called life and see how we can be encouraged to pursue this walk of faith to fulfil our...

Every instruction in God’s Word carries a consequence. When obeyed, the rewards are there and when disobeyed, the rewards do show up with time. What happens many times is that the benefits are sometimes limited to our understandings. Without our understanding, our cooperation is limited and possibly inconsistent. Many times we tend to be event-oriented rather than process-oriented. God’s dealings are usually process-oriented though they manifest as events. One of such instructions is the instruction to give. This runs through the Bible and its basis is found in the principle of the seed and harvest. The entire kingdom of God operates on the seed principle. Jesus made that clear in Mark 4, when He was discussing the parable of the sower. In verse 13, He asked if they got the parable, because failure to get it implies they may not get the others. God Himself, in carrying out His redemption plan planted the...

Fulfilling Your Prophetic Destiny Isaiah 61:1-4 “THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound, To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favour] and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion—to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit—that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and...

There seems to be a 3-fold pattern for most of the things of God in the Bible. For example we see God revealing Himself as the Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, each revealing a part of God’s nature and purpose in His processes for the human race. Each of His revealed identity captures something of His purpose and all three give us a more correct picture of God’s plans and purposes. The God of Abraham reveals the aspect of God as One who provides even in the most impossible situation. He is more than able to do the impossible when we believe, have faith in His Word (like Abraham) and participate in His plans for our lives. The God of Isaac is the One who expects us to walk in submission and obedience. Isaac was revealed as one who was in subjection to his father and all through his life God’s...

Every region of the earth has its peculiar demonic operations and these operations have seasons! A casual look around the world and hearing the news can easily show activities of demons peculiar to certain regions. The people in these regions have their part that they play for these activities to either be intensified or reduced. It is believed that evil spirits like remaining in certain regions of the earth as exemplified by the demons who asked Jesus not to send them away from a particular region.  It is also believed that evil spirits are disembodied spirits from the biblical pre-Adamic creation. They are generally unclean spirits, seeking to give expression to their nature through human beings. The more they take full control of humans, the greater expression they can give. They seek to oppress, depress or fully possess human beings. They demonise and influence in whatever way possible. They are relentless and...
