The Year of Favour! Prophetic Word for 2015

THE YEAR OF FAVOUR! (Taken from 2014’s Cross-over message by Rev. Kola Ewuosho)

Introduction 

As we wait on the lord to move in to the coming year, I just want you to know that, first of all it is necessary for us to give thanks;

1. For the life that has been preserved
2. For all the things that has happened in the year 2014: the good, the bad and the ugly.

Our heart’s attitude should be that of thanks giving. It should be that of gratitude to God, for his faithfulness in our lives, in the lives of our families, and for the fact that we are alive today. God has a lot to say to us as we round up this year and come into the New Year and I can tell you straight away that the coming year 2015 is a year of;

Ø  Restoration

Ø  Demonstration and

Ø  Elevation

One word that captures all of that is FAVOUR.

To get us into that we need to come into alignment with;

1. God’s ways
2. God’s Kingdom

It’s not enough to say God has said something; we need to labour and press into what God has said. This is why it gives me joy to be able to share this with you. I have been waiting on the Lord since the beginning of December 2014 and I have been praying and fasting and asking God questions:

Q1. God, what’s going on?

Q2. Where are we in your programme?

Q3.  What is the plan that you have and how are we going to execute these plans?

So as we go through this prophetic time, I am sure some of you have been waiting on the Lord in prayer and fasting in preparation for the Year 2015. I want you to know three things you must never forget.

Ø  It’s a year of DIVINE RESTORATION

Ø  It’s a year of DIVINE DEMONSTRATION and

Ø  It’s a year of DIVINE ELEVATION

Straight away everything that the cankerworm and the palmerworm has stolen from you shall be restored. The years that have been lost shall be restored. It’s a year of God’s demonstration of his power and his favour on your behalf. I look forward to embarking on a series on ‘Favour’,  to break down the things that God has impressed upon my heart. And it’s also a year of promotion and divine elevation. God is going to promote you and elevate you to the place you truly belong.

But to get us started, we need to go to the Word and check the scriptures, because after I heard these things, I had to labour in the Word to say, ‘God, where are the scriptures I can stand on’? So God gave me a few scriptures;

The first scripture I want to share with you is found in Isaiah 42:6

I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

That’s our call. In the fountain of wisdom ministry, we have been called to create a forum where God’s people can flow with Him, but we have also been called to be a light to the nations. We are called to affect the nations and that is paramount in the mind of God.

Isaiah 2: 7 – 9

To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them

Isaiah 33:6 says; ‘And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.’

As the Fountain of Wisdom Ministries (FOWM), we called to everyone who is saved. We are called to those that God brings our way to impact; to give them the wisdom of God. Wisdom helps us to;

1. Recognize where you are in the program of God
2. Recognize what you are going through
3. Recognize how to conduct yourself in that phase so you can be prepare to enter the next phase

I want you to know as we enter the New Year we are preparing to enter a new phase.

Isaiah 43:18- 19 says;

‘Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.’

God is going to do a new thing!

Isaiah 43:20-21 says;

‘The beast of the field shall honor me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.

This people have I formed for myself; they shall show forth my praise.’

I want you to know God is in the business of doing these things. He says he will give us as a light to the nations. Jesus says we should go into the entire world and make disciples of nations. The call of FOWM is not only to make disciples but to help people fulfill destiny;

Ø  To develop them,

Ø  To grow them,

Ø  To help them become all that God wants.

Ø  To create a forum where God’s people can flow with Him.

So as we labour together and see these come to pass, we will witness a year of restoration. This the first word I heard in my spirit; Restoration

Joel 2:25;  ‘And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

He will restore. That’s a powerful word. Sometimes you think about how much you have laboured in the Lord, how many you have done and you not seen the fruit of it; He says I will restore. I want you to know this is a year of RESTORATION. This is a year of Divine favour, this is a year of divine elevation.

1. So how do you know that these things are going to pass?

Ø  Because God said it and you are going to press into it.

Ø  Because God said it and we are going to press into it.

He says

Ø  It’s a year of ELEVATION

Ø  It’s a year of RESTORATION  and

Ø  It’s a year of DEMONSTRATION

Take not of those three words.

1. What is my responsibility? Answer: Alignment
2. What is your responsibility? Answer: Alignment

Alignment with:

1. The Kingdom
2. The ways of God
3. The Word of God
4. The thoughts of God
5. The vision that God has given the house (FOWM)

I want you to know that alignment is the key to the fulfillment of His Word. We have to place a demand on his power, place a demand on his ability; we are going to have to be bolder than we have been with our faith. We have to be more confident than we have been with our faith. We are going to have to do such things.

And in talking about favour I want you to know that God is going to restore you to the place of favour. You may ask; what do you mean by that? I believe that God is saying, the things that you have cried about, the things that you have prayed about, the things that you have longed for that are available to you in the covenant, He is going to bless you, and release His favour.

This is how it works: the covenant has to do with the blessing, that’s the covenant we have with God through Jesus Christ, we are the seed of Abraham so the blessing of Abraham is upon us, but there is another dimension to that, that with the blessing comes the favour. And the favour is what gives opportunities for you to take advantage so that the blessing can come upon you. He says He is going to restore everything that has been lost.

1. How is He going to do it?
2. You will come to the terms with the fact that you have been blessed with the blessing of Abraham. You have been blessed beyond the curse. It says God has blessed you with all spiritual blessings. So you are blessed.

With the blessing comes favour. That favour is what the New Testament calls Grace. That grace (that favour) is what will create opportunities for you to press into the blessing. In other words, God is not just saying I will bless you in the air, He is saying He will favour you. In favoring you, He will cause opportunities to come your way so you can enter into the blessing. I was glad God showed me that.

We have been talking about the blessing. All of us are blessed.

1. Why isn’t everyone experiencing the blessing, and all the things that God has said? I heard in my spirit that it’s because a lot of them don’t see the favour dimension to it.

The blessing is there but the favor comes upon you to accomplish in you and through you what you couldn’t accomplish for yourself.

That’s why we are talking about it today (favour). I am thanking God for the opportunity to share this with you.

These are the things God laid in my heart

Ø  I will do a new thing

Ø  The years that the cankerworm had taken will be restore

Ø  The time to favour Zion has come.

He talks about

Ø  Promotion

Ø  Protection

Ø  Provision

Each of them will enter a new level in your life. So I want you to get ready for the new level that God is taking you into, but like I said, you have to come into alignment with His ways, with His Kingdom, with His Word.

1. How do you come into alignment?

• By obedience
• By yielding yourself to His Spirit
• By realizing that these things are not going to happen like a bundle of ripe cherries that are just going to fall upon you.

God’s Word is full of promotional plans. In our message series, ‘Sing O Barren’, I was saying that, for the barren to sing, that means the barren is about to come to an end of their barrenness. That means the barren is picking signals in the Spirit that the time of their barrenness is over. So God is saying, sing oh barren, for your days of fruitfulness is about to come.

That’s the transition that many of us do not make. Many of us in situations ask; ‘oh God why is this happening to me’? But if we can look up like God told Abraham, we can see all He has given us. I tell you

• it takes a lot of courage to look up,
• it takes a lot of boldness to look up,
• it takes a lot of determination to look up, and not just look down and say ‘well, I don’t know why, I don’t know why.’ No. it’s time to look up.

1. Why?

• When you look up, you see the great things God has for you
• When you look up you see the new dimensions God has for you
• When you look up you see the new things God wants to drop into your life

1. How relevant are these things?

Very. But it starts with your alignment.

One of the alignments I like to share with you is the WORDS OF YOUR MOUTH.

We all major in criticizing others. We major on faults instead of majoring on the covenant, instead of majoring on the Word of God, where we can speak God’s Word and attract to ourselves as it were the things that we are speaking. The Bible says, as a man thinketh in his heart so is he. And Jesus said whosoever shall say into this mountain, be removed, be cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he say shall come to pass shall have whatsoever he says.  Matthew 21:21

Many of us are saying what we have, instead of saying what we desire. We are describing in detail what we have; instead of describing in detail what God says will come to pass in our lives.

I want to share with you some ten benefits of the favour of God that is coming upon you.

10 benefits of walking in favour. 

1. Supernatural increase and power.
2. What does that mean?

If you look at the life of Joseph, God supernaturally increased Joseph no matter where Joseph was. When he was sold as a slave God supernaturally increased him. Even his Egyptian master said the hand of God is upon this him. When Joseph was in prison as a result of Potiphar’s wife, the Bible says that everything that the head of jail saw Joseph touch, the head of the jail let Joseph handle it. Why? Because the favour of God was upon him. Those are the benefits of walking in favour.

2. Restoration of everything the enemy has stolen from you.

When the children of Israel were to leave the land of Egypt, the Bible says that God told them to plunder the Egyptians. You know what that tells me? God granted them favour and they gave them their things. And everything that the enemy had stolen from them as slaves was restored to them.

3. We will receive honor in the midst of opposition.

God is able, like in the days of Moses; when the children of Israel were to leave the land of Egypt, whenever the plagues came, the children of Israel was preserved. That means that God honored their faith, honored their walk with him by preserving them in the midst of their adversaries. I want you to know that that is part of the favour God that you should believe for this year; that no matter what’s going on around you, the favour of God rests upon you.

You should say with your mouth, that

• The favour of God is upon my life
• The favour of God rest upon my home
