Winning In These End Times

Winning In These End Times

These end times are characterised by one word: Harvest.

The darkness we see is a harvest of darkness and the light we see is also the harvest of light shinning in the midst of the darkness. There is a position to take, mentally and spiritually to guarantee our success in these last days.

Four things will characterise winners in these days:
1.    Faith that prevails over circumstances and situations
2.    Favour to inherit our inheritance
3.    Grace to govern our conquered territories and
4.    Power to finish and finish strong
The underlying reality behind all these is the Favour of His presence in our lives. It is those who have allowed the process of the dealings of God, yielding to His way and will in their lives that will experience the staying power of His presence.

Faith that prevails: This faith is that which holds its own when the going gets tough. The Kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent takes it by force.  There is a fighting spirit behind the faith that prevails. The ingredients of faith are as follows: Believing His Word, speaking and acting on the Word of God. The ability to stay consistent in faith is called patience. Patience is the staying power of faith. The power of faith is found in the revelation of Christ in our hearts: His work on the cross and His present ministry on the right hand of God the Father. We believe and therefore speak because we have the spirit of faith. God says it, we lay hold of it and we possess its fulfilment by faith. The faith that refuses to give in when circumstances are contrary is the prevailing faith. The trying of our faith works patience and when patience has had it full work, we will be entire wanting nothing. Our faith is more precious than gold. Gold is purified through the fire of testing. Prevailing faith comes forth brighter and stronger after the trials have come and gone. The faith that prevails is that which is founded on the finished work of Calvary, with a revelation of the present work of Christ in the heavens on our behalf.

Favour to inherit our inheritance: What is laboured for can accomplish much but when we walk in favour, much more is done in a shorter time. What God has in store for us is fully possible only with His favour upon our lives. When Jacob wrestled with the angel, he was already blessed materially. He wanted to receive the blessing of his inheritance that was not available through his human effort but as he allowed the dealings of God bring him to the place of prevailing with God and man. The effect of this is the favour to inherit his inheritance. When Esther walked in divine favour with the king, she was able to secure the release of her people Israel.

Ten benefits of walking in the favour of God:
1.    Favour produces supernatural increase and promotion. Gen 39:21.
2.    Favour produces restoration of everything the enemy has stolen from you. Exodus 3:21.
3.    Favour produces honour in the midst of your adversaries Exodus 11:3.
4.    Favour produces increased assets, especially in the area of real estate. Deut. 33:23.
5.    Favour produces great victories in the midst of great impossibilities. Joshua 11:20.
6.    Favour produces recognition, even when you seem the least likely to receive it. 1Sam. 16:22.
7.    Favour produces prominence and preferential treatment. Esther 2:17.
8.    Favour produces petitions granted even by ungodly evil authorities. Esther 5:8.
9.    Favour causes policies, rules, regulations and laws to be changed and reversed to you advantage. Esther 8:5
10.    Favour produces battles won which you won’t even fight because God will fight them for you. Ps 44:3. The time to favour Zion has come, yes the set time of favour is now.

Grace to govern our given territory: This grace is visible in the life of the prophet Samuel. The grace on his life protected the whole of Israel in his tenure as the prophet, priest and role of ruling over the nation. In 1 Samuel 19, we see David run to be with Samuel as he tries to escape from King Saul. We see the prophetic anointing coming over the ones sent to capture or kill David. As they approached where Samuel was, this anointing arrests their intention and changed it into another issue. They began to prophesy. This happens more than one time to different groups of people.  We need to enter into this type of grace to govern the territory God has given us in the scope of our calling and range of our obedience. Every time we walk in obedience to God’s will over any given period, we tend to have a scope or domain that has been covered in our obedience, we need grace to govern covered territory so we do not loose grounds to the enemy. Jesus said ‘occupy till I come’. Whether it is revelatory grounds, physical region or relational status, whatever we have covered should be maintained. He gives grace and glory, no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

The power to finish and finish strong: Paul says ‘I have finished my course, run my race’. The ability to bring things to conclusion needs the power to finish. Bringing the sin age to a conclusion or as it is called coming into perfection must be seen as a correct conclusion for the sacrifice of Christ. The fullness of Christ and the ultimate purposes of God demand that we have a mind not only to work but to finish the work of Him who sent us. Finishing strong is a must for those who will win in these end times. Many times short range effects and efforts affect how strong we finish what we are about. God is willing to give us the power to finish strong.

Let us go for it.

When the foundations of our lives are set on the solid rock-the Word of God and we cultivate intimacy with our Father-God, we can expect Him to supply all that we need to run the race set before us, as we keep our eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ. He finished strong and by His grace we will also.

Amen.
